Product Introduction
Drive-in racking, also known as through-flow or channel racking, is a high-density storage system that operates as a continuous, integrated unit without being divided by aisles. It utilizes a method where forklifts drive directly into the racking structure to store and retrieve goods, completely eliminating the need for dedicated aisles between each row of traditional racking. This design increases warehouse space utilization to an impressive 80% or more.
This system is the ideal storage solution for goods that are of a single type, large in quantity, and have low timeliness requirements. By consolidating storage areas and achieving “uninterrupted” coverage of the warehouse floor space with racking, it creates limitless storage possibilities within your limited warehouse area.
Features of Drive-In Racking:
- Extremely High Space Utilization
Significantly reduces the number of internal aisles, resulting in storage density far exceeding that of conventional beam racking. Particularly suitable for warehouses with high rental costs or limited space. - Large Storage Capacity
The overall structure is stable with strong load-bearing capacity, making it suitable for storing large quantities of a limited variety of goods, such as beverages, food, chemical raw materials, and cold chain products. - LIFO or FIFO Operation
Since forklifts operate within the same channel, goods are stored and retrieved according to the First-In, Last-Out (FILO) principle. However, when both sides of the racking are open to forklifts, the system can also support First-In, First-Out (FIFO) operation. - Stable Structure, Safe and Reliable
Designed with a professional structure and equipped with safety features such as column guards, guide rails, and tie-backs to ensure the overall stability and safety of the racking during forklift operation. - Flexible Configuration
Can be customized in terms of height, depth, and width according to the warehouse structure, goods dimensions, and load requirements, perfectly adapting to your actual site conditions.

Application Scenarios:
Drive-in racking is an excellent choice for the following industries and storage needs:
- Cold Chain Storage: Operating costs for cold storage are very high. Maximizing space utilization directly translates to cost savings. Drive-in racking is one of the preferred solutions for freezing warehouses and cold storage facilities.
- Food and Beverage Industry: Ideal for storing large quantities of uniformly packaged products like bottled water, beverages, and finished grains/oils.
- Tobacco Industry: Used for storing large batches of finished cigarettes of the same brand and specification, where volume is high and variety is limited.
- Chemical Industry: Suitable for storing bulk raw materials like chemical raw materials and plastic pellets in standardized packaging.
- Third-Party Logistics (3PL): Provides a cost-effective storage solution for clients with needs for high-volume, low-variety storage.
